Complete the jigsaw puzzle

A friend of mine, sometimes back, sent a message to me. It said he felt as a person who is there just to fill the blanks in others life. A person who has no life of his own. That small message really struck some chords in my heart. I kept thinking about how hurt he felt. It was really a sad thing to think of. Later, a thought came to my mind. Sometimes, people perceive things quite differently. To put the same thing in a very different way, a way in which it will be more acceptable and less depressing is, we can say that life is like a jigsaw puzzle.
Ever tried to put together those small pieces of a picture? I loved doing that. A picture of a beautiful flower broken into a number of pieces and a small kid trying hard to put them together! But, to make things easier for the kid, he always have a actual picture of the puzzle on the box. But, this is life. Isn't it? It ain't fair. This life is a puzzle where every single person is trying to fit in. And the hard part is, you don't get the picture to refer to!
Every person is like a piece of a jigsaw puzzle. Each one with his/her own unique curves and bends. And he/she may think that they don't have anybody to complete their puzzle. But, I think, this is not the case. For every curve or mistake in you, there will definitely be someone else to fit in it, to understand it, to correct it.
This life is full. The pieces of jigsaw puzzle are all there. They are just scattered. The thing is to collect the pieces. More importantly, the right pieces, that can and will adjust your bends and curves.
I always say HAPPYTHANKYOUMOREPLEASE to people around me. That's for the same reason. Do this, be happy and keep looking for the pieces of your jigsaw. Just keep your eyes open. Life surprises us in the strangest way possible. Be ready to be surprised because the weirdest of the pieces will complete you!!!

That little Extra!!!

Life's going pretty well, and then one day, you think of screwing it! You try to get that little extra. A little more care and attention in a relationship, a little more money for a job, a little more fame... And this is where all problems begin. Why do we need that little extra! Why is there always a 'possibility for improvement'. Life's never perfect, yes. And yes, we should try to make it perfect, but we should know our boundaries. We should know where there is a possibility for that improvement. Some things, especially relationships, are always best the way they are. A little more you expect and chances are that you are at the verge of losing it.
What I have learned is that we should accept life the way it is. People come and go. I had read somewhere that people remain in your life as long as you really need them. They leave when their work is over. Remember, Nanny MacFee only comes when children need her and not when they want her. There a great difference between want and need. We spend our whole life wanting things that won't do any real good to us. They may give us pleasure for sometime, but eventually what matters is the relations we have or ever had in the past. Every single person on this earth have a reason to be. Some are their to do great work, lead others, discover something great, to produce a great movie, to write a bestseller, to compose something mesmerizing, but some others (the majority) is their to create the real difference in a few people's life they come across. A person who makes you smile everyday, a person who cares for you without any intentions, someone who will be there when you need help, someone who will accompany you whenever you want, who will advise you on crucial matters of your life, who will walk an extra mile with you, who will listen to you when you are down, who will share food with you, reserve a seat in the class room, watch a movie with you. These people have a reason to be in your life. They are making it worth living. These are the people you should care about. They are friends, family and lovers. They are not making great difference to 'the world', but yes, they are making a great deal of difference to 'your world'.
One advice, never ever expect anything extra from these 'special people'. They are this way because you need them this way. It will be a great mistake if you try to change a person according to your need. They are perfect the way they are. I learned it the hard way by losing some very good friends. I don't want this for the people who are reading this blog. So, cherish the people in your life the way they are.

I ASKED GOD...

I asked for strength and God gave me difficulties to make me strong
I asked for wisdom and God gave me problems to solve
I asked for courage and God gave me dangers to overcome
I asked for favors and God gave me opportunities
I received nothing I wanted I received everything I needed
My Prayer Has Been Answered.

Difficulty of Being Good!

Can good or bad be defined precisely?
How can one assert a person as good or bad! Can a person be completely good or completely bad? What I think is that it is just a frame of mind. Humans are strange creatures. A brutal terrorist or a murderer, all will have somebody or something, to which they act emotionally! Someone they love, someone/ something they care about! However harsh they may be, they will be good to their loved ones. When I look around myself and see people I don't like, I have a strange feeling of hate. What I think of is the bad things they have done to me or my loved ones. But, when I look closely, I always reach the same conclusion. They did what they did because they thought in their own interests. May be in same situation, if I were to be replaced by some other person whom they love, they might have acted differently.
So, how does the perception of being good or evil changes? What can be categorized as good things? Is doing social work or thinking about others is the only way of doing good things? Is the definition of 'good thing' so narrow? I have seen people who might not be categorized as 'social workers', but yes they will be there if you need them. They are ready to help even the strangers. I don't think that doing some big works, educating people, feeding poor, etc is the only way of doing your bit. Yes, it has its own importance, but everybody can't do this! Small gestures like lending a pen, running some papers, giving a lift, etc are equally and sometimes much more important.
As Anthony 'Tony' Robbins, Life coach and NLP Trainer in his talks points out the need of human spirit as 'contributing beyond ourselves.' No matter what we do, how we do, we always want to contribute. The secret of living is giving.

So, never judge a person for what he looks like. There are always some sides of a personality you will never see. Take chances, learn from everybody. There's nothing good or bad, it is what you want it to be.

My First Blog : My Life

My life started in Pauri Garhwal on 26th of December in 1991... That day, heavy snowfall had covered most parts of the city (this is what I was told by my mom).My elder sis was playing with my Grandmom... I wish I was big enough to play in that snow. Till now, I am not able to see that heavy snowfall. Anyway, destiny took me to Rudraprayag after eight months, where I started my school life.
The picture was taken in my Nani's home when moving from Pauri to Rudraprayag. This is when I was eight months old...
Rudraprayag is a very calm place. My school was three and a half kilometer away from the township. There was a bus facility. We enjoyed the bus ride always. I still remember the games that were played during the ride. My best mate was golu, prashant(4 yrs younger to me), poonam..... We used to play in the evening in Dak Bunglow. Cricket in the playground.... Hide n seek in seized cars and bunglow...... chasing monkeys........ plucking mangoes..... those days were very beautiful........

After spending 10 years of my life in rudraprayag, I left for Srinagar Garhwal, a beautiful place and my new and permanent home. Here I lived my life with my mummy, papa and my di....and not to forget my cute dog, Goldi.

I remembered my first day in school ( in class 6th). I was late and entered class when Benjwal Mam (English teacher and 1 of my favorites) was about to go. She asked for my name and then began searching for a seat.... Just then a boy on first row volunteered to provide a seat next to him. I sat there and now HE IS MY BFF.........

I would like to draw some history of Srinagar here. It was the last capital of Garhwal King before English invasion. A beautiful place situated on the left bank of river Alaknanda, from the past, has been a centre of Garhwal. The city got its name from Sri Yantra ( pyramidal rock piece, said to have magical power, situated at the center of river). This whole valley is called SRI KSHETRA.... One small thing of interest I would like to share with you people is that the Mahendranchal Parvat ( that is said to be used in Samudra Manthan ) is standing just in front of Srinagar with all its might.......
Anyway, my life fastened here and I completed my intermediate from here itself...
I got a lot of friends here in Srinagar. I still remember my school life. The fun part..... my friends.... I love u all........
